Confused about career in IT!

Confused about career in IT!

Hi, I have completed my MCA in 2006. That time I was good in Java programming but could not get development job in java. I got my first job as Engineer Technical and support. In between I also learn SAP ABAP but did not done any project. In my second job I was used to work on Oracle E Business suits O2C process executive in automobile company but I have not any complete functional/Technical knowledge. In my current job I am deputed as Officer System and responsible for controlling the whole IT related issues and MIS reporting at my Head Office in a reputed logistics company. So I am totally confused about my profile. I also want to get into pure IT company. So suggest me what is better for my career? How can I utilized my whole 2.5 years of Experience?

First you decide that in which field you are perfect and in which field you want to proceed for job, because from the above you have worked in two different field, since for this you can't utilize your whole experience.

If you are Interested in programming languages like JAVA, then i advice to you proceed with this, because a lot of scope is available in this field, you can apply for the posts like Web Designer / Programmer etc.

If you are interested in Database softwares like Oracle, which you have worked earlier too, then go ahead for Database administrator post in most of the companies.
