How to get jobs in Indian Railway after completing graduation?
Dear Aspirant;
Railways is the biggest employer in India, there are numerous of posts available in Railways for those who has passed out Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university which comes under UGC.
The recruitment for the posts in the Railways is recruited by the Railways recruitment cell, on base of Graduation you are eligible for applying to all Groups posts in Railways department :-
HERE BELOW ARE THE LIST OF POSTS THAT YOU MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR :-
Group A posts like :-
IRTC :- Indian Railway Traffic Service
IRPS :-Indian Railway Personnel Service
IRSS :-Indian Railway Stores Service
IRAS :- Indian Railway Accounts Service
Group B posts like :-
Divisional Commercial Manager,
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager,
Chief Commercial Manager,
Additional General Manager,
Railways Manager.
Group C posts like :-
Ticket Collector,
LOCO Pilot,
Station Master,
Stenographer
Upper Divisional Clerk
etc.
Group D posts like :-
Lower Divisional Clerk
Data Entry Operator
Window Clerk
Junior Assistant
Constable
etc.
The following is the syllabus pattern followed by the Railways for the written exam is as follows :-
GENERAL AWARENESS
GENERAL ENGLISH
NUMERICAL APTITUDE
LOGICAL REASONING
Fore becoming perfect in the above said topics one has to take either coaching / have to do self study by preferring the following books :-
PRATIYOGITA DARPAN
WREN AND MARTINS ENGLISH GRAMMAR
RS AGARWAL NUMERIAL APTITUDE
S CHAND PUBLICATIONS LOGICAL REASONING
Other then that you have to solve previous year question papers for better time management
Other then educational qualification a candidate must be a citizen of India and his age does not exceeds to 28 years for general category.
There would be a relaxation of 3 years to OBC / 5 to SC-ST and 10 to Ex-servicemen is applicalbe.
Selection is purely based on
