How to join Indian Air Force after 12th completion?

National Defence Academy has three wings,they are :-

Indian Army

Indian Navy

Indian Air Force

As said above that you are interested in Indian Air Force, then for your information, there are two type os posts available in Indian Air Force, they are :-

Group X - Technical posts

Group Y - Non Technical posts

The following are the posts comes under Group X :-

Electronics Fitter.

Electrical Fitter.

Mechanical System Fitter.

Structures Fitter.

Workshop Fitter (Mechanical).

Propulsion Fitter.

Workshop Fitter (Smith).

Weapon Fitter.

The minimum educational qualification requires for applying to the Group X Technical posts is just passed Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English / Three year Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics or Automobile or Computer Science or Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

The following are the posts that comes under Group Y :-

Automobile Technician 

Indian Air Force (Police)

The minimum educational qualification requires for applying ot the Group Y Non-Technical posts is just passed out Intermediate / 10+2 or equivalent examination with Science, Arts and Commerce / Three year diploma in any stream.

Other then the above posts there are various posts available in IAS like 

Officers

Pilots

Navigators

For applying to the above said posts a candidate has to passed out Graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate.

The following is the Physical fitness requires for applying to the above said Group X / Y posts :-

Chest : Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm

Weight : Proportionate to height and age. 

Hearing : Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately. 

Dental : Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.

Health : Candidate should be free from medical or surgical deformity. He should be free from all communicable diseases and skin ailments. Candidate must be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.
