What exams are need to be cleared for joining government sector jobs?

Now a days, getting a Govt. job is most difficult for those who are not interested in studies and very easy for those who is hardworking, because for each and every post Govt. is issuing open notifications for applying to the post All India / State wise.

Govt. sector posts are usually recruited by the following authorities :-

Union Public Service Commission
State Public Service Commission
Staff Selection Commission
Govt. Organisations like BSNL / DRDO / SAIL / GAIL / BEML / ESIC / EPFO etc.

Now, in Govt. sector posts has been divided into following Groups :-

Group A :- These are the Civil service posts conducted by the Union Public service commission for the posts like IAS / IPS / IAF etc. for the posts in Central Govt. departments.

Group B :- These are the Administrative / Executive posts conducted by both UPSC / SPSC for the posts like Chief Executive Oficer / Planning Officer/ Registrar / Tahsildar / Executive Officer etc. in Central and State Govt. departments.

Group C :- These are the upper grade posts conducted by the SPSC / SSC for the posts like UDC / Village Accountant / Panchayat Development officer/ Statistical Investigator etc.

Group D :- These are the low grade posts conducted by the SPSC / SSC for the posts like LDA / Ticket Collector / Constable / Assistant / Data Entry Operator / Multi Tasking Staff etc.


The minimum educational qualification requires for applying to the above said Group post is as follows :-

Group A/B/C :- Just passed Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university which comes under UGC.
Group D :- 50% aggregate in SSLC / Intermediate or its equivalent is required.


Banking sector posts are also much secure next to Govt. sector posts.

The following are the posts available in banking sector for those who has passed out Graduation in any discipline from a recognzied university which comes under UGC.

Probationary officer
Specialist / IT Officer

A candidate must be eligible for applying to the Clerical Assistant post in Banking sector only if he has passed out SSLC with a minimum of 60% aggregate / Intermediate with a minimum of 55% aggregate.

The syllabus pattern followed by the Govt. / Banking / Railways / Other Organisations for recruiting candidates is as follows :-

General Awareness
General English
Numerical Aptitude
Clerical Aptitude / Logical Reasoning

Marketing aptitude is an additional topic for banking sector posts
Descriptive topics is an additional topic for Probationary officer post


Other then educational qualification the following is the eligibility criteria requires :-

A candidate must be a citizen of India
Age limit should be in between 18-28 for General Category

Selection is totally based on written exam / Interview and on merit
