Which institute should i prefer - UGC recognized or AICTE approved?

University Grants
Commission and All India Council for Technical Education are two head
organizations that provides higher education in India.
UGC stands for University
Grants commission is an authority or an apex body which approves universities
in India. The other major role of UGC is it provides funds for the affiliated
universities and colleges.
UGC also recruits candidates for the posts of Lecturer in Govt. colleges, for
this a candidate has to appear for the National Eligibility Test which is
conducted by the UGC every year in the month of April / May.
UGC was established
in 28th December 1953 and Mr. Ved Prakash is the present chairman of University
Grants Commission.
The major roles of UGC is as follows :-
Granting permission
to the universities and colleges.
Monitoring developments / Education
Promoting and coordinating education.
Maintaining standards of teaching
Framing regulations on education.
The headquarters of University Grants Commission is in New Delhi. It also
have Regional offices in the metro cities like :-
Bangalore.
Pune
Hyderabad
Bhopal
Kolkata
Guwahati
The All India Council for
Technical education is only a statutory body, which deals with the development
and proper planning of the technical education system in India.
List of fields comes under AICTE :-
Engineering,
Technology,
Master in Business Administration
Pharmacy colleges
Etc.
All India Council for
Technical education was established in the month of November 1945 and it was
inaugurated by the Minister of Education Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad in 1953.
AICTE is having his headquarters in New Delhi.
Hence from the above
its clear that AICTE and UGC approval is necessary for applying to the
Technical posts in Govt. sector.
While applying for the
Administrative post in Govt. sector UGC approval is recommended.
