Details about jobs available in Railways? 

Job for railway

Dear Friend;

Railways is the biggest employer of Govt. of India and it is also an Central Govt. department. The recruitment for the posts in Railways sector is recruited by the Railways Recruitment Board, like other Govt. sector / Companies / departments / organizations here also posts has been divided into Groups based on the Qualification, they are :-

GROUP A

GROUP B

GROUP C

GROUP D

Group A are the Civil service posts which are requited by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION for the posts like :-

Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS)

Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS)

Indian Railway Personnel Service (IRPS)

Indian Railway Protection Force (IRPF)

Group B - Executive level posts which are recruited by the RRB for the posts like :-

DIVISIONAL MANAGER

COMMERCIAL MANAGER

RAILWAYS BOARD SECRETARIAT

etc.

Group C & D - Upper as well as Junior Grade posts like :-

UPPER DIVISIONAL CLERK

ACCOUNTS SUPERINTENDENT

ACCOUNTANT

=============

STATION MASTER

LOCO PILOT

LOWER DIVISIONAL CLERK

DATA ENTRY OPERATOR

etc.

The minimum eligibility criteria requires for applying to the above said posts is as follows :-

a) Must be a citizen of India

b) Age limit should be 18-30 years.

c) Educational qualification :- 

For applying to the Group A, B & C posts a candidate has to passed out Graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate in any discipline from a recognized university which comes under UGC. 

While applying to the Group D posts a candidate has to passed out SSLC or its Equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate from a recognized board.

Selection will be purely based on Written Exam / Interview and on Merit.
