Way to join in Income Tax Department for B.Com passed general candidate presently 33 years old?

I am a b.com graduate and i am very eager to work at income tax department. My age is 33 now general catagory and can i get a suitable post at income tax department. I am good at data entry and typing as well.

Dear Aspirant;

Income Tax department is an Central Govt. department and the recruitment for which is done by the Union Public Service Commission as well as Staff Selection Commission. As mentioned above that you have passed out Graduation in Commerce and presently your age is 33 years and you are from General Category then for your information the minimum eligibility criteria requires for applying to the posts in Income tax department is as follows :-

a) Must be a citizen of India

b) Age limit should be 18-28 years (For General Category)

c) Educational qualification :- 

For applying to the Group A,B & C Grade post a candidate should have passed out Graduation from a recognized university which comes under UGC, while applying to the Group D post a candidate has to passed out SSLC / Intermediate with a minimum of 50% aggregate from a recognized board.

Relaxation in terms of age is applicable to the Backward category is as follows :-

No relaxation for General Category

Relaxation of 3 years to OBC is applicable

Relaxation of 5 years to SC-ST is applicable.

Hence from the above its clear that because of excess age you are not eligible for applying to the post not only in the Central / State Govt. departments.
