Syndicate Bank is one of the oldest commercial bank of India, it was founded in udupi in the year 1925 (as Canara Industrial and Banking Syndicate Limited). Syndicate bank was nationalized by the Government of India in the year 1969. 

The founded of Syndicate bank wasMr. T. M.A Pai, Vaman kudva and Upendra Pai. The head quarter of Syndicate bank is in Manipal district in Karnataka State. 

Mr. Madhukant Grirdharilal Sanghvi is the Chairman and Managing director of Syndicate bank.
