After sending the port SMS you will get a call from idea customer care within 24-48 hours and they will ask your feedback that why you want to port from Idea to other network, or what makes you to port to other network other then idea.
Then you have to tell that SMS are very costly in Idea and have to tell that in other network there are cheap sms rates etc etc etc.
As the customers are valuable to them and they will first try to convince you, but you dont get down, just tell them that you want to shift to other network, after listening this, they will definitely give you free SMS pack or they will reduce your sms rates.
For me they have provided 5000 Local and National SMS for 90 days for free.
