How the Railway Department recruitments are made?

Dear
Aspirant;
The recruitment for the
posts in Railways department is recruited by the Railways recruitment board,
like other Govt. sector here also posts has been divided into Groups :-
GROUP A
GROUP B
GROUP C
GROUP D
For applying to the Group A
/ B / C Non-Technical posts a candidate has to passed out Graduation in any
discipline from a recognized university which comes under UGC.
For applying to the
Technical posts a candidate has to passed out Graduation in Engineering /
Technology from a relavant specialization in which he wants to apply.
Group D posts are the low level posts in Railways sector and hence it requires
a minimum of SSLC qualification.
Selection pattern for Group A and B posts is as follows :-

INTERVIEW
MERIT
Selection pattern followed for Group C and D posts is as follows :-
WRITTEN EXAM
TECHNICAL INTERVIEW
