Am I eligible for UPSC exam for IAS, IPS and IFS post while scoring 55% in B.Com?
Dear sir,
i hv passed my 10th with 90% n 12th with 50.1%
n m in the bcom n my aggregate will be 55% here
can i appear for upsc exam for ias ips ifs?
i heard that there should be new rule about the minium % of 60%
is it true sir?

Dear Aspirant;
IAS / IPS / IFS are the Civil service posts and the recruitment for
which is made by the Union Public Service commission for the post in Central
Govt. departments. Civil service exams are considered to be the toughest exam
of India.
The minimum eligibility criteria requires for applying to the Civil service
posts it is as follows :-
a) Must be a citizen of India
b) Age limit should be 21-28 years.
c) Educational qualification :-
Must has passed out Graduation in any discipline with a minimum of
50% aggregate from a recognized university which comes under UGC.
Relaxation provided by the Govt. for Backward category candidates in terms
of age is as follows :-
For General Category Candidates :- No relaxation
For OBC category candidates :- Relaxation of 3 years is applicable i.e. 28+3 =
31 years.
For SC/ST category candidates :- Relaxation of 5 years is applicable i.e. 28+5
= 33 years.
Number of attempts for applying to the Civil service exams is as follows :-
Four attempts to General Category candidates
Seven attempts to OBC category candidates
No limit for SC/ST candidates.
