How to apply for jobs in Indian Railways ?

Dear Aspirants;

Railways is considered to be the biggest employer of Government of India.  There are numerous of vacancies are available in Railways due to its large tracks which has spread all over the country.  Railways comes under Central Government and the recruitment for the jobs in Railways is recruited by the Railways Recruitment Board in short its called RRB.  

As other Government departments here also posts has been divided into groups based on the educational qualification, they are as follows :-

Group A
Group B
Group C
Group D

Group A posts are the Civil service posts in Railways and the recruitment for which is done by the Union Public Service Commission.

Group B & C are the Executive as well as Upper Grade Posts and the recruitment for which is done by the Staff Selection Commission.

For applying to the Group A, B and C posts a candidate has to pass Graduation from a recognized university which comes under UGD.

Group D posts are the low level / Junior level posts in Railways sector and for applying to the Group D posts in Railways a candidate has to pass atleast a minimum of SSLC or ITI or its equivalent course from a recognized board / institution.



Note :-

Grade applies above to both Technical and Administrative posts but the minimum qualification requires is different for different posts.


Other than educational qualification the following are minimum eligibility criteria requires for applying to the posts in Railways :-

1) Citizenship of Indian

2) Age 18 – 33 years (Relaxation as per category)

The Syllabus patter for the Railway sector exams mainly consists of objective type which includes equal questions in :

1. General Awareness

2. General English

3. Numerical aptitude

4. Logical Reasoning

How to get job in Railways after completing 12th and working as Wire man trade with 6 years of gulf experience? Details about institutes for Railway entrance exam?

Sir, i am Ramesh Kulkarni from Bihar, i have passed 12th non medical, also i am having 6 years of experience in wire man trade, so please suggest me some of the good jobs which are related to my trade in railways.

Dear Aspirant;

Railways is the biggest employer in India, there are numerous of vacancies available in Railways who has passed out SSLC / Intermediate or having any technical degree like ITI etc.

On base of ITI you are eligible for applying to the following posts :-

SECTION ENGINEER

LOCO PILOT

ASSISTANT LOCO PILOT

TTI

TICKET COLLECTOR

etc.

On base of SSLC / Intermediate qualification you may be eligible for applying to the various administrative posts like :-

Junior Clerk

Lower Divisional Clerk

Data Entry Operator

Dispatch Clerk

Window clerk

Assistant

etc.

Other then educational qualification a candidate must be a citizen of India and his age does not exceeds to 28 years for general category candidates.

Can i get a job after 10th after Railway job in the field of Railway Clerk?

Hy sir, i have passed 10th and want to do clerical job in railways, so kindly please suggest me the eligibility criteria and the details of jobs available in Railways on base of 10th qualification.

Dear Aspirant;

As said above that you have passed  10th and wants to do the job in Railway field then for your information on base of SSLC with a minimum of 50% aggregate you are eligible for applying to the Lower Divisional Clerk Post, which is a D Grade post and the pay scale for the LDA in Railways is around 5200-20500/-.

The minimum eligibility criteria requires for applying to Railway job is as follows :-

a) Must be a citizen of India

b) Age limit should be 18-28 

(Relaxation of 3 years to OBC / 5 to Sc-ST and 10 to Ex-servicemen is applicable)

c) Educational qualification :- 

50% aggregate in SSLC / Intermediate from a recognized board / institution is required.

The following is the syllabus pattern for the LDA post in Railways is as follows:-

Hy, i have passed 2nd puc in commerce with 53% now i want to know on base of 2nd puc am i eligible for getting job in railways.

As said above that you have passed out 2nd PUC with a minimum of 53% aggregate, then for your information on base of 2nd PUC from a recognized university you are eligible for applying to the Group D posts in Railways sector.

In Railways sector on base of 2nd PUC you are eligible for applying to the following posts :-

Station Master

Ticket Collector

TTI

Loco pilot

Lower Divisional Clerk

Data Entry Operator

Assistant 

etc.

The minimum eligibility criteria requires for applying to the above said posts is as follows :-

After 12 i did health sanitary inspector course how i get job i did 12 with science now i pursuing internship with sulabh international academy of environment sanitation & health care

What are the jobs available in Railway  after completing 10th , 12th and Under graduate in B.Sc computer science and PG in MCA?

i have passed out MCA with 78% and wish to work in Railways, so please give me some good suggestions regarding the availability of job in Railways as per my qualification.

Dear Aspirant;

As said above that you have passed out Master degree in Computer Applications with more than 75% aggregate and want to work in Railways then for your information Railways is the biggest employer of Govt. of India and it comes under Central Government. On base of Master degree / Graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate from a recognized university which comes under UGC, you may be eligible for applying to various posts. Like Govt. sector here too posts has been divided into Groups i.e. :-

GROUP A

GROUP B

GROUP C

GROUP D

On base of Graduation you are eligible for applying to all Groups posts. Group 'A' posts are the Civil service posts which are conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year in the month of February.

While Group B, C as well as D Grade posts are recruited by the Railways recruitment Board as and when there would be a vacancies.
