Dear Aspirant;
Its good that you want to join Police department and want to make
the country crime free, as mentioned above that you want to join IPS, then for
your information IPS is nothing but the Indian Police Service, its an Civil
service post and the recruitment of which is done by the Union Public Service
commission every year in the month of February.
The minimum eligibility criteria requires for applying to the IPS post is as
follows :-
A) Must be a citizen of India
B) Age limit should be 21-28 years.
C) Educational qualification :-
Must has passed out Graduation in any discipline from a recognized
university which comes under UGC.
Relaxation in terms of age provided is as follows :-
No relaxation for General Category
Relaxation of 3 years to OBC
Relaxation of 5 years to SC-ST is applicable.
Relaxation in terms of number of limit for appearing to the exam is as
follows :-
Four attempts to General Category
Seven attempts to OBC
No limit for SC-ST category
Physical fitness requires for applying to is as follows :-
Chest :- 82cms
Height :- 172cms
Weight :- Equivalent to Height as per standard measures.

MERIT
