Dear Aspirant;

IBPS - Indian Banking Personnel Selection is an authority to recruit candidates for the Posts in Banking sector in almost 19 Public Sector banks.  So, now you don't need to apply for the post in every bank.  One exam is sufficient for getting a job in almost 19 Public sector banks.

IBPS was successful in screening over 10 million candidates for testing and filled approx. 79,236 vacancies for its client organizations besides testing of candidates for admission to academic institutes and certification for diplomas.

How to apply for the IBPS exam?

The recruitment for the post in IBPS is done twice a year i.e. in the month of March and September.  So after applying through online / offline mode you have to appear for the written exam.  The dates as well as age limit and eligibility criteria requires for applying to the post in IBPS exam is provided in the notification broucher.

Once you possess the minimum eligibility criteria you are eligible for applying.  After applying you have to prepare yourself for written exam (Clickhere for the syllabus pattern for the written exam).

A candidate has to score atleast a minimum of 24marks in each topic for getting eligible for cuttoff, and once the cutoff list generated you will get a valid IBPS SCORE CARD.

What is IBPS Score Card?

IBPS Score Card is the key for applying to the post in almost 19 public sector banks.  The validity of this Score Card will be for One Year.  The date is counted from the date of issue of the card.

What to do with the IBPS Score Card?

Once you get the Score Card from IBPS, then you will be eligible for applying to the Post in almost 19 Public Sector banks which comes under IBPS.

Note :-  

If you are having Score card of IBPS Clerical Assistant exam then you are eligible for applying to the Clerical Assistant post only, like vise if you are having Score card of IBPS PO exam then you are eligible for applying to the PO post only.

Procedure for applying to the post in IBPS 19 Public Sector with Score Card?

When there would be a vacancies in the above said 19 Public Sector banks which comes under IBPS, the recruitment for filling those posts were issued through online notification, in that a candidate has to apply for those exam by using their IBPS Valid Score Card.

After Completion of the Last date of filling the evaluation will occurs and the cut of list will be generated, the candidates whose score is more are eligible for the post and are directed for the Interview call.  After successful completion of Interview section, eligible candidates are called for Document verification.  

In the process of document verification a candidate has to show his original documents such as Original Marks Card / Birth Certificate / Category (if applied in category) and as per the bank notifications.  After successful completion of document verification eligible candidates are selected for the Probationary period.



What is Probationary period and what is the time limit for probationary period?

Probationary Period is nothing but the training period where a candidate has to work under training and have to proof the level best in work.  The time limit of Probationary period is different for Probationary Officer and Clerical Assistant Post.

The duration of Two years of Probationary period is fixed for Probationary officer while the duration of Six months of probationary period is fixed for Clerical Assistant post.

After successful completion of Probationary period a confirmation test, which is the important exam for the Probationary officers.  After passing the confirmation test the Probationary officers will get the permanent posting.

When comes to the Clerical Assistant post there is no provisions for the confirmation test, after completion of the the probationary period of six months, if the candidates is upto the mark of Bank needs then he will get the permanent posting.

During the Process of probationary period a candidate has to undergo training in various banks and as directed by the Bank authorities.
